Are you aware that OTA broadcasters will soon be transmitting a new signal called ATSC 3? When that occurs (expected sometime in 2020) the current broadcast standard transmission of ATSC 1 will terminate. ATSC 3 is NOT backwards compatible, meaning that all currently manufactured OTA tuners using ATSC 1 will not work. All flat screen TV built today with ATSC tuners will not receive any OTA signals/programming. TIVO Romeo OTA, HD Home Run OTA and any external OTA set top boxes (converters) built with ATSC 1 will have no program reception. That said, should I "bite the bullet", purchase one of these devices, knowing that it will soon not work, or wait? The best of the best-TIVO Romeo OTA @ $400 is too expensive to consider, where the HD Homerun Quatro @ $200 might be worth the gamble.
