I would like to decrease the time from when I turn on my tv until I actually reach my channels. My setup is an older FireTV stick and I prefer Playstation Vue. My internet speed is I think 100 mbps or higher and I am not interested in increasing my internet cost. If I upgrade streaming hardware will it decrease boot up time? Does chip type, ram and storage affect boot up speed? Is one devise known for being the fastest?

A newer firestick WOULD be much faster, the have a faster chip and more ram. Another great option is the NVidia Shield, BUT it's costly. You may be able to speed up your current stick by doing some cleanup. Get rid of apps you do not use and consider doing a factory reset and then just adding the apps you really need, such as PSVue.

Or just keep everything on and only power off your tv.
