I've been with DirectTV for ages but am considering tying to do without cable / satellite, especially since it seems that AT&T is phasing out DTV. I currently have the Hulu / Disney+ / ESPN+ package so I'm wondering if that will cover most of what I watch, but I do have some questions / concerns.

    • Will ESPN+ allow me to watch shows on regular ESPN without a TV subscription?
    • I watch sports, how can I get Fox Sports,Fox Sports local, Big Ten network, etc.
    • I have a feeling I will miss my DVR (saving shows, being able to record a sporting event and start watching if I can't see the beginning, etc.). Is this founded?
    • What am I not even thinking about that could end up biting me?

A good option for you might be to upgrade your bundle to Hulu with Live TV. This will give you access to live TV stations .
