We have been using WMC for almost 5 years now with a single cable card, a Ceton 4 tuner card, and a Verizon FiOS 75Mbps internet connection and cable TV... since they released the XBOX One we moved over to using Emby on the WMC PC to extend the tuners to all the devices in the house since the 360 was really the only reliable extender option over the last few years. Our monthly costs were around $130/month for internet, TV, and phone.

Over the weekend we finally killed off the cable services and went down to just an Verizon FiOS internet connection... we boosted the speed to 1Gbps, purchased an HD Home Run (Duo) and reworked all of our stuff... killed off the media center box and moved to the HD Home Run tuner stuff directly into Emby and use a pretty good antenna mounted in the attic.

We just have over the air stuff and we are working with a trial of the Philo service, which so far is pretty great. They pretty much have ALL the cable channels we wanted and couldn't easily find on one of the other services (History, Science, Food Network, HGTV, DIY, and Nickelodeon! Best of all the service only costs $16 / month!!

We are still working out how to get ESPN to satisfy the sports stuff outside of our local sports we get OTA, but we also have NFL Sunday Ticket and that will help a lot during the football season.

If your not in need of any sports stuff Philo can be a great inexpensive option! It is by far cheaper than any of the other services and has a great selection of channels. I would love to see you guys add it to your list of streaming services on the site and possibly do a review. The interface is a little lacking and there isn't a traditional "guide" view, but otherwise the service so far has been great!

Sounds like a good setup. Have you run into any issues?
