Before cutting the cord, we had the Spectrum Triple Play package, which consisted of internet/voice/tv, all for the amazingly low monthly cost of right at $300.
After cord cutting, we're now paying $64.99 for 200 meg Spectrum internet and $51 for YouTube TV with Showtime.
So we went from $300 to $115.99 monthly, saving $184.01 a month.
As we get Netflix at no cost thanks to our Tmobile plan.
I don’t recall the exact cost, since it’s been so long. With Spectrum, I think I was paying about $270 for internet & TV. Currently I subscribe to Netflix Family plan($13.99), HBO Now($14.99), & Starz($8.99). Those services along with FiOS internet($59.99) cost me just under $98/month. I have access to HULU, DirecTv Now & PS Vue for free. Total savings of $172.
I also have Prime for $5 but I don’t really count that because I mostly use my membership for shopping not streaming.

Reason: Added Prime
I got Tired of Direct TV when the Bill went up to $171 and it was just not worth it... What got me interested in being a cord cutter was H&I that was a local channel in my area and when it was removed from Direct TV. I put up an antenna and it worked great. Now I get 57 locals that includes 3 channels with lots of movies.
I added a Channel Master 8 Bay Bow Tie Antenna, A Channel Master Mast Mounted AMP, and 2 Distribution Amplifiers. I now have 4 ViewTV Boxes to record my shows. The nice part here is that not only can I record all of my programming.... Now the nice thing that I like about all of this is that unlike Direct TV, Dish, Charter, Comcast, or any other cable/satelite service is that I can copy all of my recordings off, edit the commercial's out and play them back, plus when I do not have to worry about loosing all of my programming, recordings because a Box Broke, Closed my service, or what ever... For the 3 channels that keep me on DTV, I know use Philo via my ROKU devices for $16 per month
My Total cost to get everything setup was approximately $500 and will break even at 3.2 Months - October 15th I will break even....
I have not saved anything yet because I wanted to get my TV to where I wanted it for OTA and Streaming... However, Mid October (2018) I will break even... As of November my Streaming Monthly bill of November, removing a $171 Direct TV Bill and Trading it for a $16 Philo Subscription and my OTA equipment, I will save $155 bucks per month.
We just cut Uverse 2 weeks ago. Latest monthly bill - $299 and change. New bill with just fiber and phone - $111 plus taxes.
We already had Netflix and Amazon Prime so I don't count those, and just created our free Hulu account from Sprint. We plan to add CBS All Access for $6 a month.
299 - 111 + 6 = savings of $194 a month!
I was paying 195 or so a month, just under 200. Now I pay 54.99 for internet and phone plus 13.99 Netflix family plan. So 195-68.98= 126 and coins. Set up cost was big. 200 between an Airtv and a hdd, 230 on Rokus for 5 TVs 1 is an extreme or whatever is call, and another 200 for 2 OTA antennas, masts, coax, combiner splitter and more crap. So say 650 total cost. In June I’ll be even July will be my first month cheaper.
